FAQ
1. What is a doula, and how can you help me?
A doula is someone who provides emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, labor, and/or postpartum. My role is to guide and support you, ensuring you feel empowered, informed, and nurtured.
2. Do you only work with clients who follow a plant-based diet?
Not at all! While my expertise lies in plant-based nourishment and holistic care, I work with all clients regardless of their dietary or spiritual preferences. My approach is flexible and tailored to meet your unique needs and lifestyle.
3. What makes your services unique?
I am a native woman of color who brings a combination of ancestral wisdom, plant-based nutrition expertise, and holistic rituals like Birth Altar Ceremonies and Closing of the Bones. My care is deeply rooted in honoring your journey, whether you’re preparing for birth or healing postpartum. My care is inclusive and supportive of all humans. Everyone deserves birth and postpartum care and nourishment.
4. How does the booking process work?
Start by scheduling a free consultation through my website. During this session, we’ll discuss your needs, answer your questions, and see if we’re a good fit. From there, we’ll create a plan tailored just for you.
5. Do you offer virtual support?
Yes. Whether you’re local to Denver or live farther away, I offer virtual doula services, including consultations, education, and postpartum guidance. I do feel that human connection is important, especially in birth and postpartum, but I am available to chat about your needs.
6. How soon should I book your services?
I recommend booking as early as possible if you’re interested in birth support, to ensure availability and feeling prepared. Postpartum services can often be booked closer to your due date or after birth.
7. What happens if I need support outside your scheduled hours?
I strive to be available for my clients when they need me most. We’ll discuss specific availability and backup options during our initial meeting.
